Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Where does my money go? How do I know it is being spent only on finding a cure for cancer?
A: We donate 100% of profit to canine cancer research. Period. Our website is hosted for free; we are entirely powered by volunteer work from art department to sales and logistics. Your money is spent on the price of the products and their printing, shipping, and any fees that PayPal or your creditcard company will charge.
Please see Canine Cancer Research to view the list of current grants being funded with donations and by supporters like you.
Q: How do I order shirts? Can I order online? Can I pay by check?
A: To ensure your order is received, please use our online order form. You can choose whether to pay with US check, PayPal, or creditcard. If you have any questions, send us an e-mail to: Run.Free@comcast.net
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Short sleeve tees are $20, Long sleeve tees are $25, and Hoodie sweatshirts are $40 U.S. These prices may change per year and fundraiser depending on the supplier/printer. We aim to keep the pricing reasonable but also enough to generate over 50% profit for canine cancer research. Shipping and transaction fees are calculated separately.
We make sure to donate at least 100% of all net profits to canine cancer research; that includes the Run Free team buying all their own shirts at full price, just like you.
Please keep in mind that at the end of the day, we are not here to sell shirts--we are here to raise money so that our dogs can live longer, healthier lives. The shirts are our way of saying thank you for being a canine cancer research donor. Excess donations are always welcome.
Q: How long will it take for my order to get here?
A: After you fill out an order form, you will receive a response within approximately 48 hours, complete with up to date shipping info. Depending on when you order during a currently running fundraiser, the shirts could be in pre-order stage, in printing, or ready to ship out next day. Our shirts are printed in sparse batches right now, per fundraiser. Since 2010, we have done printings a couple times every two years on average. Each fundraiser normally runs about two months or until the stock is sold out. The sooner you order, the better the chance your desired size and amount is available; however, that does mean it will take longer for your order to arrive.
Q: Why don't you sell women's sizes, v-neck cut, etc?
A: Our goal is to raise funds for cancer research, as much as we reasonably can. Right now, our fundraising endeavour is not large enough to reach the necessary size of crowd to make different types and cuts of shirts available with a decent margin for profit. If we come to a point where demand is large enough for more options on products, we will be happy to provide them!
Q: Why don't you sell on Zazzle or Cafe Press or, etc ?
We do offer some of our designs on various products via Zazzle, but these sales do not come anywhere near the amount of dollars for cancer research that we are able to achieve by handling the merchandise ourselves. A Zazzle sale will bring in on average about 13% for canine cancer research, compared to our history of 55%-80%.
Q: Who are these dogs anyway?
A: The Run Free Berner models are Jaime's and Lynn's packs, living in the USA and Europe. They are, in chronological order: Tobie, Misha, Monty, Bromley, Lottie, Floyd, Stockard, and Pasha. Our two eldest are at the bridge. You can look them up in the Berner-Garde Foundation Database.
If you are interested in sharing your Berner photos for Run Free artwork, please send us an email and sample image. There will be no monetary profit, nor complimentary free shirts or other merchandise, as the Run Free team itself does not benefit from such. We hope that you will see it the way we do: hard work, donation, time, effort...and much, much love given, to help better the future for our beloved Berners.
RUN FREE BABIES. RUN FREE.
